The work
Vercingetorix, the great king of warriors, surrenders to Julius Caesar, the invincible leader. It is 52 BC and Gaul is now subjected to Rome. After having heroically resisted the siege of Alesia, Vercingetorix understands that there is no more hope. He then decides to give himself up to the enemy to save his people from destruction. Riding his white steed, he leaves the city and approaches the Roman camp. There, in front of thousands of soldiers and allies, he throws his weapons at the feet of Caesar, who looks at him with admiration and respect. It is the end of a war and the beginning of a legend.
