Giotto's fresco of the Crucifixion, located in the Scrovegni Chapel in Padua and dating back to the period 1303-1305, represents one of the most intense moments of the pictorial cycle dedicated to the Passion of Christ. This work stands out for its profound link with traditional iconography, highlighting the cross of Jesus in the center surrounded by grieving angels, with Magdalene kissing Christ's feet in the foreground and on the sides the groups of women and soldiers participate in the scene.
