A unique and rare historical view of Tivoli, with a detail of the house above the waterfall, painted by Gaspare Vanvitelli in pen and brown ink with brown and grey watercolour over black chalk, squared for transfer in red chalk, on inlaid paper. In the background the town of Tivoli appears softly blurred, while the waterfall dominates, with the shadow it casts along the cliff.
It is an unusual work thanks to the painting technique used by Vanvitelli.
