An original and rare view of the river of the city of Turin, seen from the beautiful Royal Gardens, painted by Bernardo Bellotto. In the foreground are the gardens, with their straight avenues strolled by the citizens of Turin. Further to the left are the buildings of Turin, rectangular and square in plan.
The sky is clear but with a few white clouds on the horizon. The picture is dated 1745. Another variant of this work exists. The painting is on display at the Galleria Sabauda in Turin.
