Prominent on the right, on a small hill and brightly lit, is the castle, while the town of Pirna lies further down the valley with its houses and palaces, from which the bell tower and the church rise. Another detail: on the right is a large, brightly lit green meadow where oxen graze, watched over by a herdsman. The sky is clear but there are a few clouds on the horizon. The painting is dated 1770.
