An original and luminous historical view of Krakowskie street seen from Nowyswiat street, by Bernardo Bellotto. The broad street stands out, very busy with both carriages and people. On the right-hand side of Krakowskie street there are stalls and people. On the left, by contrast, the great church dominates with its two bell towers. The day is slightly cloudy; further back are the fine palazzi of Warsaw. Bellotto produced two other versions of this work.
The painting is on display at the Muzeum Narodowe, Warsaw.
