A bright and original view of Gazzada in the province of Varese, painted by Bernardo Bellotto. The village is bathed in sunlight, with the houses clustered around the small church, a popular meeting place. The sky is clear with a few scattered clouds. The painting, an oil on canvas, is dated 1744.
