The city, with houses and buildings, is prominent, while on the other side of the river there's a more rural landscape, with vegetation and many people. The city is reflected in the river, crossed by boats. On the left side there is a large oak tree. The background features a sky shaded in pale yellow, blue, and gray, the latter is used to represent rain clouds.
The painting is undated and is exhibited at the National Museum in Warsaw. Another version of this painting exists.
