A luminous and original view of Warsaw seen from the suburb of Praga, with a striking light in the sky, by Bernardo Bellotto. Prominent is the city with its houses and palaces beyond the river, while on the near bank is a more rural landscape, with vegetation and many people. The city is mirrored in the water of the river, crossed by boats. On the left is a large oak tree. The background shows a sky shading into pale yellow, blue and grey, the last colour used to depict some rain-laden clouds.
The painting is undated and is on display at the National Museum in Warsaw. Another variant of this picture exists.
