Original and rare 18th-century view of Campo Santi Apostoli, painted by Giovanni Antonio Canal, known as Canaletto. In the foreground there is the large bell tower and the small square in front, with scenes of daily life. Behind the bell tower there is the Romanesque-style church, while the square is flanked by popular buildings. On the left side there is the access bridge to the Campo, leading to the small pier. The sky is slightly cloudy, tinged with pale blue and white clouds.
The painting, an oil on canvas, is dated 1730. Another version of this work was created by Canaletto.
