A marvellous painting of the Tivoli waterfalls, 1785, highlighting the two tiers of the falls, made by Jakob Philipp Hackert. The main subject is the water pouring abundantly down the mountain, creating a fine mist as it crashes at the bottom, which Jakob has skilfully captured. All around the height the vegetation grows lush, while on the banks oxen and cows are grazing.
