A distinctive painting of an existential nature depicting an old man on one side and a young woman on the other, made by Jakob Philipp Hackert. The man, perhaps a beggar, leans on his stick and points at the ground, while the young woman, half-naked, sits on a stone in a garden and seems to be asleep. The picture compares two different ages of life.
