Original and rare engraving of a portico with a lantern by Giovanni Antonio Canal, known as Canaletto. In the foreground there is the portico, with a lantern in the central column descending from the center of the vault. Below the colonnade there is a road, while further in the background there are houses. On the right side is a portion of a Romanesque temple is depicted. The sky is clear with a few clouds on the horizon.
The engraving is dated 1740. Other variations of this work exist.
