A luminous and original view of Piazza della Signoria in Florence, painted by Bernardo Bellotto. Palazzo Vecchio, seen from afar, dominates the scene with its tall bell tower. Elegant palazzi overlook the square, busy with people looking for a bargain. The sky is clear with a few scattered clouds. The painting, an oil on canvas, is undated. Three other versions of this work exist.
