A romantic, original view of the River Arno with a detail of Piazza d'Arno made by Bernardo Bellotto. The river, crossed by a few boats lying before the bridge, dominates the painting. On both banks of the Arno, arranged in perspective, are Florentine houses and palaces. On the right-hand side the high retaining wall is visible. The painting, an oil on canvas, is undated.
