Original and rare black-and-white painting of the ballet Le Turc Généreux from Les Indes Galantes, by Bernardo Bellotto. The ballet takes place in the garden outside the palace. Many colorfully costumed figures appear. The theater where the ballet is performed is packed with music and dance enthusiasts. An inscription appears beneath the painting.
This is a Rococo-style work. It is dated 1759, and two other color versions of this painting exist. It's part of a private collection.
