Nymphs and Children in a Landscape with Shepherds is a pastoral composition in which idealised female figures — the nymphs — are depicted together with children in a tranquil natural setting. The nymphs, with their graceful, delicate bodies, evoke a mythical, harmonious world in which nature and humanity seem to merge seamlessly. The children add a touch of liveliness and spontaneity to the scene, contributing to the atmosphere of serenity.
In the background, shepherds and a broad, verdant Venetian landscape can be glimpsed, completing the pastoral scene.
