A distinctive, unique depiction of a naval battle, with cannon fire and scenes of fighting on the shore; an engraving by Lievin Cruyl. The sailing ships clash in a furious battle; the outcome is still uncertain, but we are at the crucial phase of the fighting. The objective is the capture of the harbour; a longboat has managed to land, setting down the first soldiers for the fight on shore.
