The artwork
An original, bright 18th-century view of Miodowa Street in Warsaw made by Bernardo Bellotto. Prominent is the street, teeming with carriages and people, while on the left-hand side of Miodowa Street are fine Polish palaces side by side. The right-hand side also has buildings. The day is serene with a few clouds. Further in the background the other palaces of Warsaw are depicted. The painting, an oil on canvas, is dated 1777.
