Catalan map of Africa from the early 17th century, created by Willem Janszoon Blaeu.
The map shows Africa divided into states and the surrounding islets. At the top of the map, there are depictions of unique African locations from that era. On the sides, there are drawings of Africans in their tribal costumes. The map includes a grid of meridians and parallels. Rivers and major cities are indicated, with detailed points for sailing ship landings.
Willem Janszoon Blaeu, Latinized as Guilielmus Jansonius Blavius, was a Dutch cartographer and publisher.

Our reproductions are faithful to the original and printed on precious Amalfi paper.
It is a paper made exclusively from cotton fibers, thick and naturally porous, yet soft to the touch, with characteristic deckled edges that attest to its artisanal craftsmanship.
It is still made today according to ancient medieval techniques, in the workshops of Amalfi.
