An original and unique study of figures, of 18th-century nobles and townspeople, made by Giovanni Antonio Canal, known as Canaletto. Canaletto portrays his figures in various poses and settings: some are talking to one another, others are pointing at something, and others are watching. Every single figure is drawn in rich detail. The dominant colour of the work is a light red, which makes it highly unusual.
