A wonderful depiction of a hussar on a Lipizzan horse, painted by Bernardo Bellotto. In the foreground is the rider wearing his splendid uniform, painted in detail by Bellotto. The white horse is trotting, riding among the ruins of an ancient city. The hussar is accompanied by a female rider; on the right, a small waterfall with a bridge crossed by oxen and carts can be seen. Another variant of this painting exists, dated 1773.
