The Dura-Europos city map is a fragment of a Late Antiquity map discovered in 1923 in Dura-Europos. The map was drawn on the leather covering of a shield by a Roman soldier of the Cohors XX Palmyrenorum between 230 and 235 AD.
The fragment is considered the oldest preserved original map.
