Original and rare 18th-century sketch of the Customs House and St Mary of Health, created by Giovanni Antonio Canal, known as Canaletto, in pen and brown ink over black chalk. In the foreground, we can see the customs landing stage, and nearby, the splendid church of St Mary of Health, with a detail of its large dome. The painting is undated. Another variant of this work by Canaletto exists.
The painting is exhibited at the Ashmolean Museum, University of Oxford, UK.
