Original and rare 18th-century view of Campo San Rocco in Venice, painted by Giovanni Antonio Canal, known as Canaletto. In the foreground there is the small square with a few people crossing it. The large, two-story, rectangular building with double-arched windows is the square's focal point. The sky is clear, with a few white clouds on the horizon.
The painting, an oil on canvas, is dated 1735. Another variant of this painting by Canaletto exists.
