In the foreground there's the bridge, which connects the two banks of the Elbe. A rural landscape is depicted on the left, while Sonnenstein Castle can be glimpsed on the right. The day is clear and serene, there are no clouds, and the Elbe flows peacefully. The painting, an oil on canvas, is dated 1748.
