The Opera
Andromeda was a wonderful sea nymph: what great courage to declare herself the most beautiful of all her companions!
For this reason she was chained on the shore, but the hero Perseus, a valiant fighter, passed by and fell madly in love with the nymph, breaking her from her imprisonment and starting an ancient love relationship with her.
This mythological tale, typical of the Greek age, was reproduced in a fresco from Pompeii now preserved in the archaeological museum of Naples.
