The artwork
An original and luminous 18th-century view of Wilanów Palace painted by Bernardo Bellotto. The palace is placed centrally at the back of the painting, with splendid gardens in front and a detail of the steps to the entrance. The gardens are frequented by visitors; in the background mountains prevail, with a clear sky in light blue shading into white and a few clouds. The painting, oil on canvas, is dated 1777.
