A bright, original view of Vienna seen from afar from the Belvedere Palace, made by Bernardo Bellotto. The palace has large, beautiful Italian gardens, with great fountains and pools. Many people stroll along the tree-lined avenues of the gardens. The sky is clear and cloudless above a Vienna painted from afar at sunset.
The painting, an oil on canvas, is undated. Four other variants of this work exist.
