A luminous and original view of Warsaw from Praga with a remarkable light in the sky, by Bernardo Bellotto. Prominent is the city with its houses and palaces beyond the river, while on this side of the bank a more rural landscape is shown, with vegetation and many people. The city is reflected in the water of the river, which boats are crossing. On the left is a large oak. The sky is shaded in pale yellow, light blue and grey, the latter used to depict some rain-laden clouds.
The painting is dated 1770.
