A panoramic view of the city of Verona, with a detail of the River Adige. Prominent are the fortified city walls and intense activity on the riverbank and on the river itself, with small boats carrying people or goods. The light comes from the east and illuminates the fortified walls and the nearby buildings.
This painting is part of the output Vanvitelli produced during his stays in the Veneto.
The painting is held in the Galleria Palatina at Palazzo Pitti in Florence.
