A highly original painting in shades of blue depicting Vaprio d'Adda, by Bernardo Bellotto. In the foreground is the River Adda, which separates the village of Vaprio, with a boat in mid-stream, while on the left bank are townspeople in colourful clothes. On the right bank of the Adda, Bellotto paints the village of Vaprio, slightly perched on a small hill. The sunset sky, in shades of blue, blurs the distant mountains.
The painting is on display at the Capodimonte Museum, Naples.
