The Tiber River seems to connect these buildings, traversed by small boats used for transporting goods or passengers, and spanned by a large bridge with three main arches.
In the background is a beautiful azure sky, crossed by thin clouds. The detail of the "observatories" located on the left side at the bottom of the painting is remarkable.
The painting dates back to 1690, and was created by Vanvitelli during one of his many stays in Rome.
