A refined and rare historical view of Tivoli by Gaspare Vanvitelli; the details are softly blurred, with a clear sky and faint white clouds in the background. The river and the bridge on the left stand out, while on the opposite side there is an arch serving as a gateway to a road. This is the main feature of the picture, together with the second arch visible within the first. At the top left a hill is depicted. The painting, made in pen on paper, is undated.
