A fine and detailed mid-18th-century depiction of the small harbour of Sorrento by Jakob Philipp Hackert. Prominent is the boat leaving the harbour with its rowers and travellers. Three other boats are drawn up on the quay for maintenance. A second boat is docking in the harbour, but it is the first boat that dominates the scene, with its details skilfully painted by Hackert.
The painting is on display at the Royal Palace of Royal Palace of Caserta.
