A fine and detailed depiction of the small Sorrento marina in the mid-1700s, painted by Jakob Philipp Hackert. The boat leaving the port with its rowers and passengers is prominent. Three other vessels are resting on the dock for maintenance. A second vessel is docking with the port, but it is the first vessel that dominates the scene, with Hackert's expertly painted details.
The painting is on display at the Royal Palace of Caserta.
