An original and rare view of the convent of S. Cosimato, perched on the hill, by Jakob Philipp Hackert. In the centre stands a large Romanesque bridge, with a passer-by watching the river flow. On the left, at the start of the bridge, there is a group of houses and part of the mountain with the convent above, seen from afar, with a winding road leading up to it. The road to the bridge is narrow and rugged. On the right are mountains enclosing the valley. At the foot of the painting there is an inscription in French and Italian.
