An original and luminous painting depicting Munich seen from the town of Haidhausen, by Bernardo Bellotto. The River Isar separates the town from Munich, which spreads out beyond the bank with its cathedral and palazzi. On the near bank is a wide road running along the river, suitable for transporting goods. The sky is clear, and the waters of the Isar are tinged with a mix of light green and blue.
The painting is on display at the National Gallery of Art, Washington DC, USA.
