A romantic view of Itri in the morning, seen from afar and perched on its hill, made by Jakob Philipp Hackert. In the foreground is a small lake, with livestock grazing. Itri is wrapped in a light morning haze that fills the whole valley. The painting is dated 1788. On either side is vegetation that surrounds the whole lake and is reflected in the water.
