Boatmen are seen on the riverbank at the far end. On either side of the river are tenements, while the Roman hills appear in the background. The details are blurred, highlighting the river and the bridge, with the tenements along the banks. The sky is streaked with clouds, but remains clear.
The dominant colors are brown and blue, with their infinite shades, which Gaspare Vanvitelli created between 1710 and 1715.
