The work
Vespasian, known as Caesar Vespasian Augustus, was Roman emperor from 69 to 79 AD and founder of the Flavian dynasty. Originally from Sabina, he distinguished himself in his military and political career before being proclaimed emperor by the legions of Egypt, Judea, Syria and Danube. His accession to the throne marked a change in the imperial succession and strengthened monarchical power. Vespasian was a "homo novus", not belonging to the Roman nobility, and worked for the integration of the provincials into the Empire.
