View of Mount Fuji in Japan - Katsushika Hokusai

The artwork

Bring home the timeless elegance of the “View of Mount Fuji in Japan” by Katsushika Hokusai, in a fine reproduction on handmade Amalfi paper. The soft texture and natural edges enhance the deep colours of ukiyo-e, turning any wall into a contemplative space. Perfect for lovers of Japanese art, this art print adds character and refinement to the living room, study or workspace.

In the series Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji, Hokusai celebrates Japan's sacred mountain through different seasons, lights and settings, uniting everyday life and spirituality. In this “View of Mount Fuji in Japan”, the seascape and the boats converse with the motionless presence of the mountain, a symbol of stability and contemplation. Mount Fuji, considered a sacred place and a national icon, embodies the idea of time flowing while nature remains eternal, a theme dear to the ukiyo-e aesthetic and to Japanese sensibility.
