An original and rare view of the convent of S. Cosimato, perched on the hill, by Jakob Philipp Hackert. On the left an angel is shown, apparently trying to stop a woman who is about to kill a man. In the middle ground is a landscape of hills and a flowing river crossed by a Romanesque bridge. There are a few clouds in the sky, and mountains at the back of the painting. At the bottom, beneath the image, there is an inscription in French and Italian.
