Historical double-hemisphere world map dated 1664, created by Joan Blaeu.
The map shows the world as it was known in the mid-17th century. Both meridians and parallels are shown. The two globes appear suspended; outside the globes are allegorical figures, while at the top centre, outside the globes, are celestial figures.
Joan Blaeu also known as Johannes Blaeu, was a Dutch cartographer and publisher.
