A luminous and clear historical view of Trinità dei Monti in Rome, by Gaspare Vanvitelli. Prominent is the hilltop building, with a detail of pilgrims setting out to climb the steps. In the background are other Roman buildings, some lit by an intense light, while on the right a tree-lined avenue can be made out. A leaden sky rises above the scene in intense shades of blue, with a few barely perceptible clouds.
The painting is part of the Galleria Corsini, Rome.
