An interesting 18th-century view of the tower of Marghera, by Bernardo Bellotto. Prominent on the right of the painting is the tower, rectangular in plan, which dominates the landscape. At the foot of the tower is a rural building and a jetty overlooking the lagoon. The sky is cloudy, and paler in the background of the painting. Mountains can be glimpsed in the distance. The painting, an oil on canvas, is undated.
