The Castelfranco Altarpiece is an oil painting on poplar panel by Giorgione, datable to around 1503-1504, and kept in its original setting in a chapel in the Cathedral of Castelfranco Veneto.
The exceptional nature of the work, which had such an influence on later Venetian art, is also due to the fact that it is the only altarpiece the artist painted.
