The artwork
"Thunderstorm Beneath the Summit" by Katsushika Hokusai is one of the most powerful and evocative images in Japanese art, capturing the force of nature and the majesty of Mount Fuji at a moment of unique atmospheric tension. This print, made on Amalfi paper, strikes a perfect balance between energy and contemplation, making it ideal for anyone wishing to bring an iconic and meaningful work into their home.
At the base of the mountain a red bolt of lightning, reduced to a few essential strokes, cuts through the darkness like a slash of light, evoking the sudden violence of the storm that convulses the landscape below without diminishing Fuji's majesty. The intense palette of blues, reds and blacks and the extremely simple composition turn the work into an icon of the Japanese landscape, perfect for minimalist interiors, creative studios or spaces devoted to design and meditation.
