In the foreground is the quayside of the Molo, with scenes of everyday life, boats at anchor and many passers-by. Further back is the church of Santa Maria della Salute, slightly veiled by the morning light, and the Punta della Dogana. The sky is clear with a few white clouds on the horizon.
