Original engraving with fragments of a sculpture by Giovanni Antonio Canal, known as Canaletto. In the foreground there is a plinth from which a Corinthian column rises, flanked by a statue. Near these sculptures there is a second colonnade, and further in the background is a third architectural monument. On the left side of the engraving there is a large tree; in the background the mountains and a clear, cloudless sky are depicted.
The work is undated. Many variations of this work by Canaletto exist.
