A marvellous, clear view of the imperial palace of Schönbrunn seen from the front, by Bernardo Bellotto. Dominating the scene in the foreground are the splendid Italian-style gardens with original geometric patterns. Further back and centrally placed is the imperial palace, with a detail of the main façade. The day is clear and serene. The picture, an oil on canvas, is undated, and there are four other similar versions with variations in colour.
