A rare 18th-century depiction of the Prà (meadow) of the Padua Valley, painted by Giovanni Antonio Canal, known as Canaletto. The large meadow is prominent, traversed by carriages, wayfarers, and pilgrims of the Saint. On the left side, Canaletto depicts the church of Santa Giustina and other Paduan buildings. The sky is clear with a few clouds on the horizon, while the right side is dedicated to the large meadow.
The painting, an oil on canvas, is dated 1741. Two other variations of this work exist, created by Canaletto.
